An Anniversary Wish

I will say with confidence that if you are reading this blog, you are aware that a man deliberately flew his plane into an IRS office in Austin, Texas on February 18, 2010 after setting his house on fire. Apparently this individual had a long history of ''hatred' for the IRS and for the taxing authorities in California and finally reached his tipping point. In the process he took his life and forever changed the lives of those that were killed, wounded, and emotionally scarred by this seemingly impulsive action. This man was a father, a musician, and an entrepreneur among other 'titles' and not one person with whom he shared his life, knew of this pent up anger he possessed.

Although this act in my opinion is selfish, what I find most disturbing is how he managed to suppress his anger and frustration for so long. And, taking this one step further, I began to wonder how many other people might share in his anger and may contemplate a similar act of aggression. I am hopeful that if there are others out there who have had such thoughts, that they realize that although they feel that they may be all alone, that they are not. More importantly, there is help for them and isolation from the world will only make the matter worse. I know. I have been there.

We, at Clear Creek sympathize with our clients day in and day out and work tirelessly to not only resolve a tax issue, but to understand how we can improve the lives of those who are in such a situation. We do this by listening, setting manageable objectives, and approaching a tax matter in a manner that is conducive to improving the overall financial health of a household or business and in most cases, both.

Again, I know I have said it before, however, I will say it again. We do know how debilitating a tax liability is. We know it can drain one emotionally, and destroy one's health, ruin families, and steal one's energy that is necessary to carry on in some cases. However, by making a commitment to tackle your tax liability head-on and hire a company that offers sound advice, encouragement and hires tax professionals who truly desire to help their clients in their time of need, you too will overcome this seemingly helpless situation. We have handled thousands of cases and through this experience we know the pain that is often times associated with a financial hardship, but with this in mind, we know how to take on your issues, as though they were ours, and I guarantee you that we will help you through this trying time.

Even if you decide to not hire Clear Creek Tax, as a father, a husband, a son, and a business owner, I would ask that you not ignore this problem and certainly not do something foolish that will only cause more pain. Although taxes must be paid and must be addressed, life and your loved ones and those that live in your community are so much more precious than time spent isolating oneself in financial misery. I am grateful to say that many of my family members have endured amazingly difficult financial times in their lives, and in some cases, repeatedly, however, in all instances, they were able to regain financial health, find happiness again and are still a loving part of our family.

As Clear Creek Tax celebrates its 6th year in business this month, my 'birthday wish' is that our firm can help those that may feel forgotten, or those that have lost hope and stand by them through their trying time so that by the time we celebrate our 7th company anniversary, our firm is thanked a hundred times over by those who we have helped along the way. We will need your help, but help is only a phone call away. We hope to hear from you!
