As the title of this blog suggests, our North Carolina Marketing
Department has been busy giving back to their local community. Our Marketing
Manager at this regional office, Brad Watkins, spearheaded an initiative two months
ago that began by clipping coupons and shopping for food that eventually became
20 meals comprised of chicken, green beans, potatoes, granola bars, cookies, and
water. This past month Brad’s department created 30 meals that comprised of
pork instead of chicken complete with all the aforementioned accouterments. As a
bonus, a local restaurant threw in all the plastic ware and napkins rounding
out the presentation of this generous and compassionate undertaking.
Brad’s wife deserves recognition too, as she has been preparing the
food to date, however, next month there will be three homes preparing the
plates as the enthusiasm for this ‘Feed the Community’ program is growing at
this office.
The employees who wish to participate in this Program meet at an
area notorious for homeless people hanging around. Our employees who
participate put the meals in a basket and walk around offering the plates to
those who are interested. According to Brad, demonstrating his gratitude
through this initiative is just one example of how giving back reinvigorates
himself and his department with an attitude that anything is possible, and with
true gratitude in his and their hearts, they are primed for success to come as
this department continues to grow and flourish. From me to Brad and his
department, and on behalf of all of us at Clear Creek Consulting, I congratulate and thank
you on your leadership. I thank you and your team for this selfless and
compassionate gesture!
